The rooms were fairly quiet with required things, like an air conditioning and a balcony. The location was great and absolutely perfect, just 5 minutes walk from Religious Art Museum.

The breakfast spread was fantastic, with fresh fruits, juices, and made-to-order eggs, a hit with the guests! The location is terrific, only a short stroll from the main plaza, and the rooms were comfy with warm blankets on cold nights.
Noisy bathrooms.

Only a 10 minute walk to main square. Staff polite and friendly, good English spoken.
Stayed for 4 nights and had to ask for towels every day. Also beware they will charge an extra 10% on the quoted price as a service charge. Also they like to be paid in cash or you incur a 10% credit card charge. Although only a short walk to the centre, the road is very scary, only wide enough for one car, usually speeding and the pavement barely wide enough for one pedestrian. Not recommended for kids

Should you try it? Yes or No
The breakfast options were good, with fresh fruits, baked goods, and hot dishes. Being centrally located, it simplified sightseeing around the city, awesome for easy exploration of local culture!
Staff seemed somewhat inconsistent in their service quality at times. Though my room was comfortable, other guests complained about noisy plumbing , affecting overall relaxation.

The street near this hotel are perilous narrow, where you constantly have to dodge cars and pedestrian while breathing toxic exhaust from cars and motorcycles. If you planning to take tours, the buses do not pick-up at this location due to the narrow streets. As it was mentioned before, hot water is sporadically at best...while our stayed was for two days, we had to run the water for 20 minutes in order to wash up with lukewarm water in a cold bathroom. Also, there is a 10% fee for using credit cards, hidden as "tax" since it is illegal in Peru to charge for the use of credit cards

Our family used Awki's as a base hotel during our stay in Peru as we visited Machu Pichu, toured the sacred valley and went to the Amazon. We used three rooms and stayed three different times within a two week span. They stored our luggage until we got back from our adventures and had our laundry cleaned and ready between trips. It is close to the airport and to the main square where there are great places to eat, many shops and historical sites to visit within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and will assist you with whatever you need. The breakfast offered is fantastic.
